Having some holiday fun! #mixologistworld 7

Jason and I decided the other night to enjoy some adult beverages.  We had recently received a cocktail shaker and I wanted to try it out.  I figured we could enjoy some fun beverages while we watched Star Wars Episode IV with the twins.  The twins had never seen them before ( I know- big parenting fail on Jason’s part :)-I tell him that quite often-ha!) So as they started the movie up, I went to work preparing us some coffee martinis! The cocktail shaker we received is from Mixologist and came with a recipe book.  We didn’t have every […]

Some Good Book Reading. . . . .#MonsterHunting101 #thriller

I have been in a reading frenzy lately.  Tomorrow I will be reviewing the latest Beacon Hill Tea Box and a few others but tonight I’d thought I’d share a bit on two books I read. Monster Hunting 101 and Anonymous. I’ll start with Anonymous by Christine Benedict. Debra Hamilton confronts the fear of inheriting mental illness when her husband moves her into a hundred-year-old farmhouse on fifty-three acres of blacklisted real estate property. Floorboards creak when she’s alone. Objects appear and disappear. Neighbors insinuate the house is haunted but memories of her mother’s schizophrenia make her wonder. Julie, a […]

Looking for a fun face paced spy love story? Spotless from Camilla Monk. . . 2

I love reading.  I read anything I can get my hands on.  I love making myself a cuppa tea, a cuppa joe or even pouring myself a glass of wine, throwing on my favorite pjs and enjoying some quality reading time.  With four boys in the house ranging from the ages of 13 to 6, that time is just so precious to me.  I’ve talked about it before.  This time allows me to decompress from the day and relax for a few moments. I’m currently reading Spotless from Camilla Monk.  Here’s the official description of the book: Island Chaptal—nerdy IT engineer […]

Oasis- The Last Humans and a Dash of Wine. . . 1

I’ve been trying hard to dedicate “me” time everyday.  Some days its easier to achieve this than others.  Work has been pretty stressful and then you add on the holidays on top of that. . . Ugh- I think everyone is feeling the pressure now.  We even started doing Elf on the Shelf at work to get everybody in the holiday mood and full of cheer. This is what I walked into today. . . . From what I’m told, our Elf on the Shelf- Timmie- had a tea party that may have included a few other beverages as well. […]

Organizing CuppaGeek Style. . . 2

Organization. . . that is something I have tried to achieve since the creation of the blog.  But with having a full time job and being the mom of two little guys and now being married with two stepsons. . . .organizing just has fallen by the way side.  In the past, I’ve been described as organized chaos.  I know what I need to do and how I need to get there, but my way may be a messier way to get to the finish line.  One of my biggest goals next year is to really develop a great system to […]
