Well hello my friends! I’m back! I took a little break over the summer to enjoy my family but that doesn’t mean I’ve stopped being geeky, drinking tea, or devouring books like its nobody’s business. So lets get right down to it!
Tea of the Day: Summertime Sunset from The Akron House Tea Co.
Citron green tea infused with pure lemon extract, clear strawberry extract, laced with dried strawberries, lemons, limes and hibiscus petals. This light pink brew is reminiscent of a summertime sunset and makes a wonderfully refreshing iced tea. Sweet strawberry is complimented by bright tangy citrus flavors. Yum!
The Tea Lowdown. . . . . . . .
This is my first experience with Akron House Tea Co teas. They have quite an extensive line of teas available on their own site and their Etsy site. I couldn’t resist trying out a few of their blends. Summertime Sunset was the first one that caught my attention. Check out the picture. You can see why. . . .
Large chunks of citrus fruit and pieces of strawberries on a lush bed of green tea. I mean it doesn’t really get better than this.
Brewed up and allowed to cool for a few minutes, I couldn’t wait to try this tea out. First sip in and I was greeted with fresh gorgeous vibrant flavors that really impressed my tastebuds.
Crisp buttery green tea notes, dollops of a jammy strawberry completed with a citrus tang. That is what you get with each and every sip. Each taste has me wanting more and I have to say I steeped this blend til it just couldn’t give any more. I loved the tea that much. (Was able to get about 3 decent infusions-adding a minute to each steep).
I am 100% impressed with this blend and can’t wait to try the rest of what I have from Akron House Tea Co. I’m not going to lie, I’m crushing on this tea and tea company pretty hard right now!
I’m off to enjoy another blend from Akron House Tea Co. Later this week I’ll review a new series of books I’ve been reading that I have found to be one of the best I’ve read this summer.
So thank you all for being patient with me while I enjoyed my summer with my now “newish” husband and family. I’m glad to be back and have so much geeky tea and book love to share!
~Until Next Time~
