Well good Saturday morning all! I hope the week has treated you all well.
Today I wanted to chat a bit about the latest tastiest tea I drank and this month’s Pop In A Box. So let’s get chatting!
I have talked about this company a lot but 52Teas is one of my absolute favorite tea companies. I do have a personal relationship with the owner, but even if I didn’t, I would still love their teas. Each blend has its own unique quality and character you might say. This particular tea may be one of my favorites I have tried yet! Thank goodness I have a ton of it!
(Tea so good Jack Burton felt like he had to guard it!)
Banana Peach Green Tea is a lovely blend of huge chunks of banana, peaches, and green tea. The official website description goes like this:
organic ingredients:green tea, freeze-dried bananas, freeze-dried peaches and natural flavors.
There is also a little note about this tasting like a smoothie and I can see that. But I’m getting ahead of myself. I will say that there are still taster sizes of this tea available. I recommend grabbing them quickly because this is one tea you’ll regret not picking up!
The dry leaf mix was just gorgeous. Pops of whites and yellow mixed with a bed of green. A great spring time/summer time treat for sure. I brewed this up per the instructions/recommendations provided.
And the results yielded an amazing brew! A lovely light and refreshing tea with notes of both bananas and peach! The fruit gave way to a lovely mix of a banana peach vibrant flavor with the green tea providing a lovely buttery smoothness to the tea. A mix that could go oh so wrong so fast but is done so right! There isn’t one flavor that overwhelms the other and each flavor is given its own spotlight. This tea just reminds me of a gorgeous spring or summer day.
I am a huge fan of banana flavor and peach flavors in teas but so many of them get muddy and to be honest, aren’t that great. This one is one of the best examples I’ve ever had of a fruit tea. I just love how refreshing it is and I can see where the smoothie connection comes into play.
I have been drinking this tea non stop for the last few days and each session I have been able to steep the tea several times, always getting a fantastic flavor. I can’t recommend this tea enough! I haven’t tried this as an iced tea yet or a cold brew but I will be soon. This is one of those teas that when its gone, I’m going to search for a replacement. It is just that good!
On A Geeky Note. . . . . .
I don’t know about you, but I’m addicted to these Pop figures from Funko. I just love them. They adorn about every room in my house along with my desk at work. It’s such a great way to enjoy your favorite characters from movies, books, and TV shows.
Pop In A Box is a monthly service that allows you to tell them which Pops you want, have and do not want. They then create a shipment based off of those identifiers and send you however many pops you want. The more you get, the bigger the discount you get. I’m currently getting two Pops each month. It’s about $22 I believe which is a pretty good deal for these figures. If you check on Amazon or other retailers, they range from $6 and on up. Most of them range in the $10-$15 range so this is a pretty good price. Plus, Pop In A Box has a lot of giveaways and can also get their hands on certain exclusives that you might not be able to.
All in all, its just a fun way to get your favorite Pops and have a surprise package each month. My kids and I love it. We love seeing which Pops we will get each month. The last few months, they have been Pops I have wanted so the boys haven’t been so happy about that, but they still enjoy the box overall.
This month, I got Jack Burton from Big Trouble in Little China (squeal!) and Ariel from the Little Mermaid. I wasn’t crazy about Ariel and realized I must have marked that I wanted her on accident. It works tho because I’m sending her to a friend in A Pop/tea exchange.
If you are a collector or a fan of these figures, I highly recommend you checking out this service. We just love it!
