Beacon Hill Tea Company’s January Box. . .#BeaconHillTea #Simplycode 4

This past week has been a crazy one. Full of Doctor Who, loads of tea and coffee, learning how to code with my son and a bum shoulder and back.  You know you are getting older when you pull something in your back brushing your teeth (true story).  So my posts haven’t been as frequent as I would’ve hoped,  but I’m back on the mend. The hubby has been taking good care of me letting me finish all the episodes of Doctor Who and Torchwood that are currently on Netflix.

While binge watching, we enjoyed the latest box from Beacon Hill Tea Company, one of my favorite tea subscription plans.

Each month, Beacon Hill Tea Company offers four different tea-enough tea for around 40 cups.

This month’s teas were Simply Chamomile, Classic Ceylon, Black Chestnut, and Vanilla Green- two blacks, an herbal, and a green. I am not a fan of chestnut so I haven’t tried that one, but I have tried the rest of them.  I’m hoping to try the Black Chestnut maybe as a latte later this week.

The first one I tried was the Vanilla Green.  My first impression of this tea was this tea and I were going to be friends.  This tea had a nice subtle sweet aroma with a green tea background.  Brewed up and this tea’s aroma definitely translated into the flavor. Probably my favorite tea of the box.

Slightly sweet with a buttery rich background.  The perfect balance for a tea you could drink all day.  A very well balanced green tea that just makes you want to snuggle in with a good book. Smooth and sweet.

The second one I tried was the Classic Ceylon.  This tea’s dry leaf aroma had an malty note. I drink so many different blends that I was excited to try a simple one without all the add ins.

Brewed up with boiled fresh water and allowed to steep for about 3 minutes, this tea hit the spot.  Crisp, malty, rich and slightly astringent.  This tea was delicious. I loved the rich tones.

The last tea I tried out of the box was the Simply Chamomile.  Chamomile is a herb that you either love or hate it seems.  I personally love it.  Enjoying a chamomile tea before bed is one of my favorite night time routines.  It just relaxes you and gets you ready for bed.

I can’t say I’ve ever had a chamomile blend like this before.  Just straight chamomile.  And it was delicious.  I added in a dash of honey to sweet the cuppa a bit.  Sweet with that familiar herbal flavor.  Such soothing and calming.

It seems the theme of this box was simple blends and I loved it.  Simple yet delicious. Another winning box from Beacon Hill Tea Company.  I just love receiving their boxes in the mail.

I mentioned earlier about learning how to code with my son, Cameron. He is a huge Minecraft fan and has been wanting to learn how to create his own world.  When I had the chance to start learning how to code with me, I jumped at the opportunity! It has been an awesome learning experience for us and I highly recommend the programs this company offers.  Easy to use and so fantastic. I’ve learned so much already.

I hope everyone has enjoyed their weekend.  And if you haven’t, check out this amazing giveaway I’m a part of and keep an eye out. I have another fun giveaway starting on February 1st for some great teaware.

~Until Next Time. . .
