Enjoying A Day off with Some of My Favorite Things! 4

I am off work for the rest of the year! Woohoo! I found out at the beginning of December that I had forgotten to take an entire week off for vacation.  So I have been taking days off here and there to help with school Christmas parties.  I’m excited about today.  My kiddos are playing their new video games and I’m going to binge on some TV and drink lots of coffee and tea.  Ahhh. . . my kind of day.  It’s lightly snowing and a good day to stay snuggled in with some of your favorite things. Tomorrow we are finally going to see The Force Awakens.  I can’t wait.  I can finally read up on some of the blogs I adore to see what they thought.  But until then, I think today is a good day to enjoy some of my favorite things I got over the Christmas break. . . and brew up some amazing tea!

My new jewelry from NOVICA. . .

NOVICA works with National Geographic to offer amazing pieces of artwork from talented artists around the world.   I currently have three pieces.  A pair of earrings and the two pieces pictured.  The jewelry is nicely made and high quality.  I haven’t yet found the perfect shirt to wear the necklace with but I have worn the bracelet just about every day.  It even fits my super small wrists.  The necklace is made up of brilliant multi-colored gems and pearls.  The bracelet is more of a corded bracelet that you wrap around your wrist to your comfort and is held together by a button in the back.  Each piece is just amazing and I love the fact that they are made all over the world.  Each piece comes with a story from the artist who created the piece.

Handmade Soap from Subtle Body Essentials. . . Having a household of boys, sometimes I crave a little pampering. So that is when I lock myself in the bathroom, grab my kindle, and just soak in the tub.  So this soap is just what I need.  It smells amazing and is just phenomenal.  The perfect way to sneak a lot of what I call princess time into my day.  Plus, the soap itself is mainly comprised of organic certified oils and handmade.  It is simply lovely.

Wendingo Tea is one of my favorite tea companies, if not my favorite.  Skye offers amazing teas that can be steeped multiple times.  I think the most I’ve used a serving of his tea was two days.  Most weekends you will see me even sporting the awesome shirt (see below) Skye sent me in my last box.  I finally had time to sit down and enjoy the last of the three teas in this awesome sampler.  (The sampler has three separate containers that twist together.  I love it!)

This particular blend is the namesake of the company tea-Wendingo Green Tea.  This tea is a straight green tea  that seriously looks like grass clippings. But oh wow is this tea ever amazing.  Rich grassy and buttery with a smoothness that allows you to sip on this tea day in and day out.  If you haven’t tried Wendingo Teas, I highly recommend you to.  They are well worth the money and the quality is out of this world.  There are two new blends from Wendingo that I plan on trying as soon as I can.  One I have a sample of and that is the Black Shuck Earl Grey.  The other is a chai blend called FireBird Chai.  The artwork for each package just makes me smile and their tea is perfection.  And what is more perfection than enjoying the tea in my awesome new mug that Santa brought me along with my new tea infuser!

I also wanted to take a moment to thank all of you! My first year in blogging has been incredible.  It has been full of learning, growing, meeting amazing bloggers all over the world, and so much tea! I’m not sure what the future holds.  I’ve thought about becoming more geeky than tea, but we will see. I still love, adore, and drink insane amounts of tea (& now coffee) each and everyday.  But I’m finding myself wanting to branch out more.  Who knows what 2016 will bring.  2015 was full of love, surprises, family time, and so many wonderful moments in time that I will always cherish.

(This is what I look like on the weekends.  Tea T-shirts snuggled in my favorite scarf-drinking tea!)

So in case I don’t have a chance to blog tomorrow with seeing the new Star Wars (Woot! Woot!) and enjoying some family time with Lego Dimensions, board games, and Dr Who binge watching-Happy New Year to everyone!
