Books & Bloggers Book Swap with Angie @ My So-Called Chaos 7

A few weeks ago I signed up for a Books & Bloggers Book Swap with Chaotic Godess Swap, a fun way to network and meet other bloggers and share the love of reading.  I was matched up with Angie from My So-Called Chaos.

Her blog is a blast with amazing recipes, DIY projects, and other fun posts.  She does a spotlight on a new blogger each week.  If you haven’t checked out her blog, I recommend you do.  She has a great fall spice sugar scrub that I can’t wait to make myself.  There is also a handmade candy corn recipe that is calling my name!

So, how this swap works is that you are paired up with another blogger.  You are then asked to send 3 books to your partner-1 book you enjoy, 1 book they have on their wishlist, and 1 book you want to read.  I sent her one of my favorite books I’ve read this year, so I hope she likes it! (Rooms by Lauren Oliver along with two other books I hope she receives soon) If you want, you can thrown in little goodies to complete the package.  I unfortunately  wasn’t able to do this because the first set of books I ordered were damaged so I had to re-order the books.  I will be sending her a little care package later this week with all the fun goodies I had picked up for her.

Which books did I end up with? Awesome ones!

Being such a fan of murder mystery style books, I should have picked up Agatha Christie books a long time ago, but never did.  Shame on me! This book will be awesome to enjoy while indulging with a cuppa.

Dragon Keeper by Robin Hobb struck my interest a while back on Good Reads.  It sounded interesting.  I’ve been wanting to read more fantasy like books.

When I was in high school and college, I could not read enough Dean Koontz.  I devoured his books.  It has been years since I have read one of his books and I’m quite eager to read this one.  I’ve heard good things about this series plus I think there is a movie on Netflix based on these novels.

And Angie is so sweet! She also included some fun goodies!

A fun Voody (Voodoo doll) key chain, post it notes that say Burn After Reading, and a Scratch and Sniff notepad with adorable cherries on it.  So much fun!

This was a great experience and I can’t wait to swap again! Thanks Angie! I hope you enjoy your books as much as I do!

Oh. My. Gosh… This sounds AMAZING!! I am completely book obsessed (ask my frustrated husband who gave up the entire top of our generously sized closet when I ran out of shelves/bedside tables/deskspace! LOL)! I am def going to be looking more into this ;D When I was in HS I went through a Classics phase and read everything my local library and book store had by Agatha Christie, Arthur Conan Doyle and others- Poirot is Genius, but Mrs. Marple is my idol (I won’t mention Sherlock, because the obvious) 😀 I would also love to get your take on Robin Hobb, I’ve been looking into him! -Okay, sorry! Books make me ramble! LOL!

I’ve read a few books by Robin Hobb and they were great! Hope you enjoy! Also, I haven’t read much Dean Koontz but my mum utterly adores his work. I need to read more of his books!

How fun! I LOVE Robin Hobb. If you like the Dragon Keeper (Rain Wilds trilogy) you should read the precursor series (Liveship Traders trilogy) or her others that occur within the same world (Fitzchivalry trilogy, Fool trilogy, Solider Son trilogy, etc.)
I can’t read Dean Koontz anymore. I read Phantoms and it scared me so badly! But I hear good things about the Odd Thomas series. Thanks for joining us for this swap!
