On my Epic Sipdown journey, I came across a sample pack in my tea stash from Treehouse Teas, a company I came across on Etsy but they have their own online store as well. I have to say, I love how they package their teas together. I love my green tea and seeing all the green tea tied so cutely together- made me giddy! Never having Treehouse Teas, I was excited to jump in and see what I could polish off and enjoy as my Sunday comes to an end. . . .Gotta love a fresh crisp cuppa Gemaicha.

~The Good. . . The Bad. . .
After having a busy weekend, I was ready to relax, sit back and drink some tea. I think the twins and Jason enjoyed that idea as well. They eagerly agreed to help me drink a few pots of this delight.
Like I said earlier, these samples came in an adorable presentation. I loved how Treehouse Teas tied all of the green teas together simply but in an impressive way.
The loose tea mixture looked fresh and crisp. Smelled that way as well. This tea had such a beautiful roasted flavor aroma. I couldn’t wait to try it and was really hoping the roasted toasted aroma would translate into the taste. After I did some research on this tea, I also found out that Treehouse Teas creates their teas in hand crafted small batches. Made me even more excited to try them! I love companies that hand blend their teas. It is like you can taste the passion in each sip.
I brewed this up with the help of my handy dandy Breville One Touch and hit the green tea setting. What brewed up was a gorgeous light color. I took a whiff of the tea still in the teapot. The fragrance was still amazing. The aroma from the dry leaves was still going strong after the tea had been brewed. But how did it taste?
(We are currently on pot #3. While writing this, the twins asked for another pot-so we are currently on pot#4 of the same infusion.)
We loved it. I have had several different gemaicha teas, but this one is one of the better ones I’ve ever had. Fresh, crisp, roasted flavor with a slight grassy sweet buttery flavor from the green tea at the end of each sip. Just simple beautiful green tea. The twins had two cups a piece, Jason had two and I took down a whole pot on my own. I keep going back. Couldn’t get enough! I haven’t had this reaction to a tea in a bit. Each cuppa is as good as the last and the tea just keeps giving. I don’t find myself wishing or wanting other flavors to be included. Everything is just very well done. I’m excited to try the rest of the teas I’ve received from Treehouse Teas including a Jasmine Haiku and SmarTea. That name alone makes me tea giddy!
Since writing this review, I’ve already been asked to order some. This tea is a hit with our household! At about infusion #6, the tea is exhausted.
I’m excited to welcome the newest member to my Pop family! Welcome Mrs Potts and Chip!
This week will be another busy one on the blog. I will continue running down my epic sipdown journey along with reviewing Cameron’s 1 UP Box from August. This was the best box yet! I’ll also spread the good word about a new Kickstarter campaign that I’m crazy excited about and hope to be able to back them and see them achieve what they need. They have such a fun idea and concept.
Happy Monday everyone! Here’s to a great week!
