Tonight’s episode of Game of Thrones is Episode 9. EPISODE 9!!
In the past, in the 9th episode we were given the Red Wedding, Ygritte’s death, the beheading of a beloved main character . . . I’m scared to think what is coming our way tonight with how last week’s episode ended. Seriously. . .how scary were those White Walkers?!?!
Jason and I both have our theories about what is going to happen tonight. The previews for tonight’s episode look intense. Here is the summary for tonight’s episode- Stannis confronts a troubling decision. Jon returns to the Wall. Mace visits the Iron Bank. Arya encounters someone from her past. Dany reluctantly oversees a traditional celebration of athleticism.
Jason thinks tonight’s episode big shocker will have to do with Arya. I think the witch that hangs around with Stannis has stepped over the line with talk of sacrificing Stannis’s daughter. I’m sure whatever events play themselves out. . . we will all be chatting about this episode come tomorrow morning.
So in preparation for this season’s 9th episode and the finale fast approaching. . . I am reviewing not just one, but several GoT inspired teas this week. I will do my typical review but I will also review GoT Inspired Teas from Margaret’s Fine Imports.
So without further ado. . .
Introducing White Wilding from Margaret’s Fine Imports
Where to buy: Margaret’s Fine Imports
Info on the tea: White Wilding– White Tea, Green Tea, Peppermint, Lemongrass, Natural Flavors
Drinking this blend made me want to snuggle up with a soft blanket and a book. This tea instantly soothed and relaxed me. The white tea and green tea blend was simple but delicious. This tea has a beautiful yellow glow.
But here is where this tea gets fun and where the name suits the blend perfectly. . Mint lovers listen up.
This tea is perfectly named. As Jason put this, this tea tastes like you have just had a bunch of Altoids. The mint is strong with this blend. (Yes, I talked a bit like Yoda there) But the mint isn’t over done or does it dominate the cup. You can taste the delicate finish of the white tea with the grassy taste and feel of the green tea. Then the mint comes through. Almost halfway through the sip. The mint is refreshing and cooling. I can’t really say I’ve had a white and green tea mint tea before. This one is blended perfectly. The lemongrass added an herbal profile to this blend as well. A very well rounded tea for mint fans and GoT fans alike!
With my love of green teas and mint, this tea was a huge hit with me. Reminds me our fallen Ygritte who left us way to soon.
This tea blend is delicious. I have no issues whatsoever with this delight. I love it and plan to pick up more up in the future. I could drink this one anytime of the day and can’t wait to try this one cold brewed.
My only recommendation for Margaret’s Fine Imports is maybe develop a logo for their store. Their website has an old school feel and they do a good job with showcasing the enormous assortment of tea blends and teaware they offer. Maybe just a tweak here and there on the site. But that is a minor complaint. I love how local they are. Something we don’t have where I live. The only local tea shop we have literally serves Bigelow and flavored Lipton teas. I’m jealous of the folks in Pittsburgh for having this gem in their own backyard!
Game of Thrones is one of my favorite shows. This show was one of the first ones that Jason and I binged on when we were first dating. I will read the books one day but dang if that series isn’t intimidating. A paperback that Jason had borrowed from a fan was over 800 pages. Now I have read Stephen King’s It and the Stand and those books were huge but this whole series is like this. All the books are huge. Not sure I want to bite off that just yet. So while I was looking for pics of our beloved Jon Snow and the Wildings, I came across this site. . . I think I know where I’ll be spending some of my free time in the future. . . If you are a fan of this show, you have to check out this site. Watchers on the Wall- A Game of Thrones Community for Breaking News, Casting, and Commentary.
